Over the years, we at Taylors trailers have designed and manufactured a variety of speialist 'one off' trailers for a number of different needs. The trailers are produced to meet the specific needs of the customer. The selection of trailers below are but a few examples of the variety of units that we have designed and built in the recent past.

Portable Toilet Carrying Flatbed

This flatbed is one of our newest models and is designed specifically for transporting portable toilets easily and safely. The trailer is designed for carrying uniform loads. The low bed height makes loading easier. There are a number of options available which allow you to customise the trailer to your specific needs.

Our standard trailer models are as follows;
17' x 7'6'' (5.18 x 2.30m) 2600kg gross weight, twin axle model
20' x 7'6'' (6.10 x 2.30m) 3500kg gross weight, triple axle model
23' x 7'6'' (7.00 x 2.30m) 3500kg gross weight, triple axle model

Also available
The 17' trailer is also available as a triple axle, 3500kg trailer and the 20' and 23' models are available as 2600kg, twin axle trailers. A commercial version of each length of trailer is also available, which is 8'2'' (2.5m) wide, with a gross weight of 3500kg.

Standard specification

  • Fully welded and galvanised construction.
  • Full beam galvanised, rubber torsion axles with sealed bearings
  • 40mm eye or a 50mm ball coupling.
  • 195/50 R13 tyres
  • Rope hooks fitted all around the trailer for use in securing the portable toilets.
  • Fixed 4' high headboard and a removable central box section framework as can be seen as above, which also has a number of tie down points. The commercial trailers have side rails instead of a central frame.
  • 18mm phenolic plywood floor.
  • Trailers are supplied as standard with mudflaps, a fitted spare wheel, 6 heavy duty ratchet straps and a toolbox at the front of the trailer.

Skip Trailer

This newly developed 3500kg gross weight trailer has been produced for carrying skips. It has a lifting arm with two hydraulic rams for loading and unloading skips and two hydraulic feet for support when in operation. The hydraulics are controlled with a 3 lever valve block at the front of the trailer. The system is run using a Honda petrol engine.
18mm phenolic plywood is used for the floor panels, and two wear plates are fitted to minimise damage. The body comes with removable, drop down sides for easier access.

 

Laboratory Trailer
This seven metre (23') box trailer was specially designed and built as a portable laboratory trailer. It uses 60mm insulated panels for the walls and roof, along with an insulated floor. The insulated body allows a good internal temperature to be maintained, regardless of the weather conditions.The trailer has a gross weight of 3500kg and a variety of equipment can be added.
Various sizes of this style of trailer can be produced and can include partitioning for a number of means including offices, toilet and kitchen facilities, electrics and so on. Other features can be fitted as required such as personnel doors, air conditioning and generators. A seperate unit has also been produced as a mobile health trailer for a utility company

 

Hotline Trailer
This 1800kg gross weight, off road trailer was produced for an electric board for carrying electric pylon insulator ceramics. The interior of the trailer is fitted with lighting and heaters. The unit incooperates opening side panels at either side of the trailer and also at the back, to give ease of access. The flaps are all lockable. The trailer is plugged into a power source ready for use at any time.

 

Road Sign Trailers

 

The images above show two road sign trailers that have been designed and produced for carrying cones and barriers. The larger unit is fitted with strobe lights

 

 

Market Stall Trailer

The trailer shown here was designed specifically to customer requirements for carrying market stalls. The front axle is attached to a turntable, and the drawbar is vertically pivoted. Arms are positioned on the trailer for use in loading.
